SIRIUS, The BIG DOG in Satellite radio is truly the way to go today! From a small digital receiver, you get 65 channels of commercial free music, at a lower cost. MUZAK charges you so much for so little!
MUZAK claims they have the lowest rates - Ok, you can get DishNetwork in which MUZAK provides the music channels - and pay $34.99 per month from DishNetwork - But then ask a customer has MUZAK and you will hear a different story - one customer I got a lower rate for (before I was working with Sirius) was paying $78.00 per month - MUZAK provided the box and the service and claimed "Maintenance and Fees" and also those other Fees such as ASCAP, BMI and SESAC. Wait - those fees are included in the DishNetwork service (currently $420.00 year) so was MUZAK charging extra? That's the Million Dollar question.
One of my longtime clients has a restaurant in New York City. They were playing CD's (against the law) without paying a fee to ASCAP, BMI and SESAC. They wound up in court, and paid a $20,000 fine (Remember, playing ANY kind of music, whether it's a radio or CD's is ILLEGAL in a place of business). They then had MUZAK come out and install the "CD" player as they call it and started to bill them $119 a month - they would get new CD's here and there, but then still had to pay ASCAP, BMI and SESAC. What's wrong with this picture? I pushed and pushed MUZAK to finally refund over $4500 of overpayments - and that was only after we said that we would see them in court with documents! MUZAK lied and said they were not paying ASCAP, BMI and SESAC, but they were! We checked and they were paid up!
There are many other stories to tell here, but as you can see, MUZAK has been around for quite a while - they have a huge market of sound systems and Music - They want to keep it that way, so since they think no one will question them, they continue to get away with it.

SIRIUS Costs Less - alot less - How about $300 a year for your business and ALL FEES to ASCAP, BMI and SESAC are included! You will have peace of mind knowing that ASCAP, BMI and SESAC can't come into your business and begin the process of filing a lawsuit against your place of business.
SIRIUS is also on "all the time" - There is no rain fade or storm fade with Sirius. MUZAK claims they have a "card" in the system that lasts 45 minutes in the event of a satellite failure - What happens if it's an intense storm or your satellite dish is knocked over by the storm? SIRIUS uses a small antenna, similar to a computer mouse - it mounts outside your business and stands up to alot of abuse - I've seen satellite antennas blown over in hurricanes, but a Sirius antenna was still standing and operating - even during the wind and rain of the hurricane, SIRIUS kept on playing. Sirius not only uses three satellites, but also "ground repeaters" in major cities - therefore, it's very hard for SIRIUS to be knocked off the air, which translates into constant music for your home or business.
SIRIUS has more channels - Currently they have 65 music channels and more to come! SIRIUS also has talk, traffic and news channels as well. MUZAK will tell you this "You hear a voice on SIRIUS" - Yes you do - SIRIUS is an active "radio" station that does have Disc Jockeys that talk no more then fifteen seconds, but there are NO COMMERCIALS - Never, ever, Zip - NO Commercials - personally the DJ ads a "touch of class" that MUZAK doesn't have.
SIRIUS sounds better - Digital Stereo makes SIRIUS the best choice. MUZAK transmits alot of it's channels in mono, which is good for supermarkets, but not good for restaurants that usually have better sound equipment.
SIRIUS is the future - Soon to offer On Demand Video and other features, SIRIUS is here to stay.
SIRIUS for Home is $12.95 per month, $6.99 per month each additional receiver. For Business, you have two choices, $29.99 per month, or $300.00 for the year paid in advance.
